Birth Empowerment Consultation

You deserve to walk into your birth experience feeling informed, empowered, and ready to advocate for yourself and your baby.

Most women spend more time preparing for their baby shower than preparing for their birth. That's not your fault. Nobody teaches you this stuff. Your OB appointment is 10 minutes long. Your birth class covers the basics. And suddenly you're in labor, someone's asking you to make a decision you've never heard of, and you're just nodding along hoping for the best. But it doesn't have to go that way.

This is for you if...

  • You're having a hospital birth and want to feel prepared, not just hopeful

  • You had a previous birth experience that left you feeling like things happened to you instead of with you

  • You keep Googling things or asking AI at 2am because nobody has actually explained your options

  • You want a birth plan but have no idea where to start

  • You want someone in your corner who has actually been in that delivery room

What we do together

In one 60 minute virtual session we go through everything. Your questions, your concerns, your options. We build your personalized birth preferences document together so you walk into the hospital knowing exactly what you want and how to ask for it. And you also have the knowledge and tools to support you in moments when things don’t seem to be going as you might have hoped.

I'm a Registered Nurse. I've been at hundreds of deliveries. I know what the nurses are thinking, what questions actually matter, and how to help you advocate for yourself without feeling like you're being difficult.

This is way more than your average, generic birth plan checklist. It's a real conversation with someone who knows how this works. Imagine having a best friend that worked in Labor & Delivery and could explain it all to you, no frills and no fluff. That’s where I come in.

A few things worth knowing

This is an educational service. I am not acting in a clinical nursing capacity during our session and nothing we discuss is medical advice. All medical decisions stay between you and your provider where they belong. Sessions are virtual and available to anyone planning a hospital birth regardless of where you live. This is NOT for you if you are planning for a home birth.

When is the best time to book a Birth Empowerment Consultation?

I recommend waiting until your third trimester (starts at 28 weeks).

Still on the fence?

You can absolutely show up to your birth without doing this. Plenty of people do. But if you've made it to the bottom of this page it's probably because something in you wants more than just hoping it goes okay. You're allowed to want that. You're allowed to take up space in that delivery room. You're allowed to know your options. That's exactly what this is for.

The research backs it up.

A study presented at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists found that virtual birth planning is associated with nearly a 4x increase in shared decision-making between patients and their care teams. When women come into birth informed and prepared, they participate, they advocate, they're heard.
